SNOW In Sherwood!!!

Ok, so it snowed about 5" at our house yesterday, and it was a HUGE surprise! Everyone kept telling us that its a 'el nino' year (is that right?) and so it would be a warm winter, and nothing like last years 'Artic Blast' . So you can guess my surprise when it started dumping outside during Toby's nap, and by the time he woke up we already had about 2"! So I layered his clothes like crazy (since we hadn't even bought a winter coat for him) and we ran outside to play.

His super cheesy 'say cheese' smile.

Sledding in the yard.

And in the street.

Building a snowman. Toby LOVES snowmen.

After who knows how long of being out in the freezing cold, the only way I could coax him back inside is by telling him we could have 'candy in a cup' also known as hot chocolate. Ha ha. It was his first cup of it and he loved it. (take notice of Jack in the background, he's a little oblivious to all the excitement :)
And a little shout out to my little sis Hanna, who's staying with us all week (and we're LOVING it!) If it weren't for her being here, and staying inside to watch the little dude, there's no way me and Toby could have gone out and had all the fun we did. We love you Hanny!

Little Drummer Boy

Here is Toby playing on his new drum set from his birthday party in Eugene (Thanks Aunt Julie and Uncle Dave!) I don't know if he's quite ready to help you with worship yet, maybe after a little more practice. But he loves it, almost as much as he loves being on the camera, as you can see in this video.

Birthday!!!!

Our little man turned TWO today!

Here's a video of him telling you that...and just think this is before a sugar high from his cupcake.

Gingerbread House

For his first time ever, Toby got the honor of helping Granny and Grandpa Swanson build and decorate their annual gingerbread house.
My Mom has all of the old ones we've made throughout the house as decoration, and we caught the little stinker sneaking off pieces of the old candy numerous times. Well, I guess he's not that sneaky when he comes and announces to all of us that he has 'CANDY!!!' and hurriedly puts it into his mouth.
I wish this one of Grandma wasn't blurry, but I still love it of her :)
Fishy face
Oh no! Mommy caught me eating all the candy!
And sadly, this is the best smile I could get out of him... impressive right?
