Moments I Cherish

(This picture is right after he popped a bubble with Aunt Hanna)

Toby's new favorite line to tell me is "Mama, Jesus loves you sooooo much!" or my personal favorite "Mama, Jesus loves you TOO much!" And he has a way to catch me off guard with it, right after doing something borderline naughty, he'll just look up at me with the sweetest little face and say it, or when I'm running around the house cleaning preparing for friends he will stop me and tell me, or just in the middle of a normal conversation. He is such a precious reminder that Jesus really does love me (and everyone) and cares about my daily life, to have that childlike faith, and just to remember how simple it really is to share the love of Jesus, every day.

The other day we were talking about our friends and amongst them Toby listed Jesus, he then asked me "Mama, where is Jesus?" Ummmm....thinking as quickly as I can, and trying my hardest to not confuse him I say "He lives in Heaven and in Mommy's heart" He then walked over to me and pulled out my shirt (yeah, thanks dude!) looked at my 'heart' and said "I don't see him." Haha...so much for the not trying to confuse him!

Wishing

He's just wishing so hard that he was a big boy like Toby. He was pushing so hard with his walker to try and get the door open to go out with him. Poor little guy.

This picture was taken the same morning as the one below of Toby, just a funny illustration on how hard it is to be content with where the Lord has us in life ...human nature, even since we were little babies. The grass is always greener...

Identity Crisis

I walked out of the room to get Jack up and when I got back this is what I saw. He was just sitting there in Jacks walker chewing on his baby toys. Little stinker. :)

Lincoln City 2010

WARNING: Picture overload!
A couple weeks ago we went on the Swanson family trip over to Lincoln City. Random timing, but spring rates were quite a bit cheaper than summer. It was so much fun to hang out with the family, relax and have some fun. My sweet, sweet Grandma came along for the first time and we LOVED having her with us (she hasn't been on the beach since 1989!). We can't wait for the next trip already.
The 'Driftwood'...what I don't have a picture of is the Harry Potter under the stairs closet that Hanna slept in WITH Toby. Priceless.

Three generations.

Baby Jack and his Great Grandma Marie.

A vicious game of Chinese checkers.

Building sandcastles with Grandpa.

Enjoying the views with Uncle Ty.

We had a lot of relaxing time...

But mostly this is what was happening, Toby being his two year old self and entertaining us all :) By the way, I LOVE my moms face in this photo. HAHA!

Here he is trying to eat the whole bag of Cheetos, which he claimed he was going to do "I eat them all?!"

We went to the Newport Aquarium, Jacks first time, and Toby's second. (He was just a little scared of the shark teeth, as you can see.)

Jack checking out all the slimy things.

Hanna touching all of the slimy things, despite Toby's very strong requests not to do so. Haha.

Shark tunnel! (And Ty and Cherie in the back)

Tobes and Hanny enjoying the funny birds.

I love this little guy.

Me, Jamie and Hanna went surfing together one day. Check out how different the sky is in each of the photos. The weather was crazy, one minute it would be a beautiful blue and the next it would be dark clouds and pouring rain. Welcome to Oregon. I mentioned that I didn't like surfing when it's raining out and Jamie's response was "Yeah, I hate getting wet when I'm surfing." Lol, so compassionate.

We love each other.

Hanna and Jamie. Surfing buddies.

He's so stinkin' handsome. I always wanted a surfer guy with crazy hair, and guess what? I got him!

The best of the group photo pictures...click to enlarge and check out Toby's face, it's pretty awesome. ;)
