Jack had his 4 month appointment a couple weeks ago, here are his percentiles:
Weight: a whopping 18 pounds 5 ounces (91st percentile)
Length: 27 1/2" (97th percentile)
Head Circ.: 43 cm (60th percentile)
Here's Toby at 4 months:
Weight: 15 pounds 2 ounces (75th percentile)
Length: 27" (97th percentile) That's the same!
Head Circ.: 41 3/4 cm (25th percentile)
His doctor said that he is just perfect and healthy. And I guess he is ready to start rice cereal. It seems WAY too early for him to be eating solids...with Toby at this age I felt like he was so big and grown up already, but with Jack I feel like he was born yesterday and he's just a little ity bity 18 pound baby. It's so weird how different it feels with the second. I guess I'm just wanting Jack to stay a baby forever...I bet this is how boys become 'Mamas Boys'. Uh oh, I better watch myself.
Another big milestone is that Toby had his first day of 'school' yesterday! My friend Monique posted a link to some Christian curriculum that she had bought for her little guy, and I checked it out and thought that it would be great for Toby. So it finally came last week and we gathered all of our supplies, and started Monday. It was so fun for him, he kept telling me "I yike school, Mama." I'm not going hardcore with it, but it just is giving me more ideas on where he should be developmentally, and neat ways to challenge him. We worked on our colors, shapes, and learned all about Jonah and the big fish, and he's memorizing his first scripture.
'Obey the commands of the LORD your God.' -Deuteronomy 6:17
