Artic Blast!

So this is what happens when you get 5" of snow and a lot of people that haven't played in it for a LONG time! It was soooo much fun! The cars on the roads were few and far between, so it was a perfect opportunity to go sledding down Pine St. :)

Of course Jamie can't not go wild on the first sledding run...he broke it the second he landed. lol

Toby's first time sledding...he sat on Daddy's lap and they went down our
front lawn. :) He was giggling the whole time.


And I didn't get to document with pictures what happened next...Toby was too
cold so we went inside. BUT, this is what I believe happened next:

Jamie: "Hey! We have a plastic kiddie pool in Matt's man room! We can all sit
in it and all go down together!"

The Rest: "YEAH! Go get it!!!"

And so it goes, they went sledding down Pine St. in a blue plastic kiddie pool. lol
How can you not love these people?!

Oh, and I can't forget to tell you that when they were done with that and it was dark, Jamie and Matt busted out their ski gear and went skiing throughout Sherwood. :) I love this place!

Well they don't to me, but Toby sure seems to think so. lol

Anderson Cooper was on t.v. this morning and Toby just looked up at the screen, pointed and started chanting Da Da, Da Da, ect... and started waving at him. He was pretty convinced that the man on t.v. was his daddy.

What a funny little guy we have :)

Chris & Katie!!!

Last Saturday we had the honor of helping our good friend Chris Neihus propose the lovely Katie Harris. It was such a sweet and special night and I hope one that they will cherish forever.

We were anxiously awaiting the news...
She said YES!!!

Thanks everyone for celebrating with us. He is enjoying all of his new toys (and I am thankful to have something new to play with too! lol)

I can't believe he is getting so big. It feels like Toby has always been a part of our family and we are so thankful to have him in our lives. :) He is getting so much smarter lately too...he's actually learning how to make the sign language signs for 'more', 'all done' and he is pointing at things he wants now. What a big boy!

He had his 12 month appointment yesterday and his measurements are:

Weight: 20 pounds (20th percentile)

Length: 31" (90th percentile)

Head Circ.: 45.5 (25th percentile)

So he's a little smaller weight wise than before but he is turning out just like his daddy...tall and skinny! And he's a healthy little boy. :o)

Lots To Be Thankful For

Thanks for a good Thanksgiving guys...we had a lot of fun. Lots of food, shopping and game playing. :) Always a good combo. lol

We had so much to be thankful for this year...our sweet baby Toby, wonderful marriage, finiancial security, amazing families, the best friends around, great church, and the freedom to worship Jesus in this country. We are SOOO blessed! Thank you Lord!

Fun Times With Family

So as you all can imagine traveling with Toby is not something that's on our list of 'Fun Things To Do.' But every time we travel to Eugene the Wrights make it sooo easy on us. We seriously didn't have to do anything but pack and drive down. It's great to have a couple days not having to worry about the next meal that needs to be made and the never ending pile of dishes that need to be washed. It's just fun to be with family and enjoy it. And of course Toby loves the non-stop attention. So thank you Wrights (especially Laurie and Jerry) for a great weekend, and the solid nights sleep!!! :) Below are a few photos from our time...

Ultimate Tuesday!

So awhile back a bunch of friends and us created Ultimate Tuesdays. It's where everyone that wants to meets at our house and go to one of the many parks around our house for ultimate frisbee. Then they all come back and eat pizza. The boys usually go over to Matt's side of the duplex and play Rock Band and the girls hang out on our side and chitchat. It's a really fun time for us and something we look forward to each week. Sooo below are a couple pics from last night. As you can see it's pretty hard to get any pictures because it's pitch dark outside.

Our Time At The Park

Since we thankfully had a break from the rain and gloominess, me and Toby went to the little park by our house to enjoy the sunshine. As you can tell from his little red nose that it was still pretty cold out.

Our litte dude is sooo close to just up and running around...he just keeps on trying and trying.

Welcome to the blog people! I hope to make this a place to offer a glimpse into our crazy lives, or more importantly a glimpse into Toby's life. This is Toby doing is favorite new activity...trying to walk. He just keeps on trying and trying.

His record is now about 6-7 full steps by himself. Yay baby!
