Chooo Choo
The poor baby didn't want anyone telling him to not lay down on the train tracks.
Our little bruiser. He constantly has bumps and scabs on him, a sure sign that he is almost 2.
Lightning McQueen, or Wightming as Toby pronounces it, is everywhere in our house these days. Toby has Lightning, and Jack has Mater. They LOVE them. They are by far the favorite toys in this house.

Last week according to my iPhone...
Ok, this one was more like two weeks ago. But it was so much fun. Having a donut breakfast with buddy Asher at his house while the grownup's ustreamed Athey's Sunday morning service in Yakima. SO FUN!
Sweet sleeping boys. They were tuckered out after a play date at Jada's house.
Athey BBQ before Saturday night church at the church property.
Toby's second dentist appointment. Jack wanted in on the action. They have t.v's on the celiing and he watched Car's movie while getting his teeth cleaned. Great idea, right?
And lastly, buddy Jack repeating his bible verse of the night. I think he's pretty cute.

New Obsessions
These crazy kids have decided to start two new obsessions. Toby had to replace a prior obsession, because I threatened him. He bites his nails. He has gotten some pretty gnarly hang nails before, but what happened last week was just a step too far for my liking. He had given himself a infection in his index finger and when he awoke from his nap it was double the size as normal, red and felt really hot to the touch. So off we went to the doctors office. I read online that he would need antibiotics, but the dr. said that he just needed to "drain it"...yikes. So they called in a nurse, and she swaddled him up with one arm sticking out and laid him on the little patient bed. All the while I set Jack in a chair with my phone and put on his favorite video (Tokyo Mater), thankfully he was in the zone. Then I had to hold my screaming 3.5 year old down while the dr. sprayed some weird cold thing on his finger (like that spay bottle stuff that you can clean the dust out of your computer with) and then he just grabbed a knife and shoved it in his finger. Nasty. And Toby watched the whole thing and screamed. He didn't stop screaming until we got to the car. That was fun, let me tell ya. Soooo, now I can threaten him anytime I see a finger in his mouth, "Toby, do you want to go back to the dr. and have him poke you with the knife?" Bad parenting, I know. But it's worked. Only he needs something in his mouth, something to chew on. So he's turned on his cars. I think this may be more dangerous for him, considering almost all of his cars are made in China (with I'm sure lead paint). Any suggestions? What would be safe for him to chew on? I've tried food, it doesn't work. That little weirdo.
And Jack. My dear Jack. He has taken it upon himself to clean his hands in the bathroom sink. All day long. He climbs up onto the toilet (see why he needs to wash them?) and then turns it on himself and just goes to town with it. I try closing the door, but Toby is constantly leaving it wide open. So at random times throughout the day I hear water running and Jack is not present. Oh, he's in the sink again. Not a horrible thing, until yesterday.
I had a sweet friend over with her two littles and we were lost in conversation with absolute madness around us. Kids throwing oranges (Toby), kids jumping and screaming in Jack's crib (Toby), you get the point. Well, I heard the water running and figured it would be worth it to investigate the noise. Thankfully I did. Because Jack had so kindly noticed that my brand new iPhone was getting a little dirty and took it upon himself to clean it. So I walk into the bathroom to my youngest ever so gently submerging my phone under a thick stream of water. Lovely. I ripped it from his hands and about had a heart attack. My first thought is "Jamie is going to destroy me!" He knew it was a bad idea to have such a nice possession when I'm surrounded my booger picking, throwing anything, stomping on things kind children. He was right. SO right. Sorry honey! I'll believe you next time. I should never be allowed to own anything nice. It's just not smart. BUT we made a wonderful decision to get my phone a extremely bulky and slightly unattractive case. I think I want to buy stock in OtterBox. I tore that cover off and the actual phone was completely dry. I was amazed. Jamie was amazed. I about soiled my pants out of relief. Phew. But now Jack is allowed no where near the sink unsupervised. We're cracking down buddy. Watch out.
(my reenactment minus the phone)
And just for fun, here's a photo of Jacks's awesome farmers tan. I love it, he's a little embarrassed.

Today
I was in the backyard scrounging up some buckets to take blueberry picking when I found this little froggy. I yelled for the boys to come out and see it and we ended up playing with it for a good 30 minutes until I felt like the froggy was getting a little too much love. Thanks to the trusty iPhone I have a picture and movies to show for it. Toby was too scared to let me put the frog in his hand, but he did get quite the surprise when the frog jumped from Jack's hand over onto Toby's and then down the the ground. That gave us some pretty good belly laughs. Man, life is great.
Then we eventually headed on over to the blueberry farm (thanks for the heads up about this place Jeff & Ashley!)
Can you believe that in this day and age a business would do IOU?! I love it!
Oh and check out Toby's claim to fame. http://www.bb-blueberries.com/2011-season.html (see his picture the owner snapped of Toby helping me out today? So cute.)
