He Won't Stop...

...growing that is. My little baby is getting way too big, way too fast. Here's the stats from his 6 month appointment:
Weight: 20 pounds 1 ounce (89th percentile)
Length: 28 3/4" (98th percentile)
Head Circ.: 44 1/2 cm (72nd percentile)

What's new with Jack:
*He's starting to be able to sit up for a while by himself.
*His first tooth just came through last week! (see photo below)
*He LOVES his vegetables, and isn't too thrilled about fruits...whose child is this?!
*He is L-O-V-I-N-G his baby walker. He can scoot himself just about anywhere with it and it provides a safe little barrier from big brother ;)

I am in love with this little guy, he melts my heart at least hourly. He has the sweetest little countenance about him, very content and very smiley. The one negative with such a happy boy is that it's easy to overlook his need for attention, because he's not demanding it (like Toby may.) So I am always being challenged to split my time with my two amazing boys, one is begging for it and the other is just perfectly content to just watch all of Toby's action.

What a stinkin' blessing this boy is. We praise the Lord daily for such a sweet little guy.

Jabbering Jack

This little guy just found his voice yesterday, and I can't get enough of it! It is one of the sweetest sounds ever.

Tobyisms

I am starting to really enjoy Toby's age now, we were having quite a few issues with him not too long ago, as in last week...but he's really getting his very own personality that cracks us up constantly. We love that little guy so much. Here's a few stories of the funny things Toby does/says...

I've been singing a lot lately to the boys, who knows why they like it, but they do. Anyways, one of Toby's favorites right now is 'The B-I-B-L-E' and he likes to yell out a name and have me stick it in there instead of 'yes, that's the book for me' it turns into 'yes, that's the book for Grandma'. A couple days ago he surprised me by yelling out "JESUS!" and then that was followed by "GOD!"

Example:
'The B-I-B-L-E, yes that's the book for God, He stands alone on the Word of God, the B-I-B-L-E.' I was desperately trying to not roll around on the floor with laughter, it was awesome.

Karly- "Toby, did you go poo poo in your diaper"
Toby- "NoooOOOooo..."
Karly- stern look (I have a nose, and it doesn't fail me)
Toby- "Ok, Mama...I poo pooed.
I pooped in my diaper."
giggles.
"SOOOORRY, Mama!!!"

Toby to Jack "Hey GACK! How ya' doing?" (This can be heard all day long)

The other night I overheard Jamie and Toby during their bible reading, and looking at the pictures, I hear Jamie say 'What's this?' pointing to something and Toby said "A doughnut hole!" Jamie- "Umm...no, actually that's the earth."

This morning, out of nowhere, he came up to me and said "I heard a bubble!" Me- "You heard a bubble?!" Toby- "Yeah, I heard a bubble in my mouth!" Haha...alright.

This one I'm pretty embarrassed about, but it was funny nonetheless :)
While in Yakima I had taken the boys to play at Kids Castle with some buddies and afterwards we all went out to eat at a little burger joint, Toby and his sweet, sweet little friend Eden were sitting next to each other, and I barely caught this little conversation because it was pretty loud in there...
Eden- While hiding behind Toby's chair, poked her head around and said "Peek-a-BOO!"
Toby- Straight face, and very seriously said "That's not funny, Eden, that's not funny."
Eden- Not bothered by Toby's dismissal, she continued to do it again...
Toby- Glaring at her he said again, very matter of factly "EDEN, THAT'S NOT FUNNY!"
And then he later stole her pony...uh yeah, that's my child. (remember I said above that we were having 'issues'...well, there ya go.
"I hold it" He says this anytime he sees something he likes, such as a cookie, blue bird, screwdriver, flower, etc...

While reading a book about David and Goliath, it showed a picture of David wearing a old fashioned warrior looking cape, and Toby pointed at it and asked me "He's flying? That guy flying?" (A few days before he had worn his Batman pajamas with a cape on it that he could 'fly' with)`

The picture above is what happens when I turn away for 30 seconds while making cookies...he had grabbed one of the uncooked cookies off of the pan and was scarfing it, I just laughed and he said "Mama, it's my favorite!" When we had started to make the cookies, the first ingredient was butter and we were stirring it up and he said "I LOOOVE butter!" Right there was proof that he is my child. We share a common love of butter :)

Happy Jack

Sorry again for the poor quality, but I just thought it was too sweet.

Sweetness

Watching Toy Story, for the first/last time (at least for quite a while) I totally forgot all the scary parts...whoops! But aren't they so sweet?!

A funny thing Toby just said:

After handing him a ritz cracker with cheese he said "Mama, you're a good cook!" Wow, who knew? Ha ha, I have no idea where he learns these things. But at least he's easy to impress, just like his daddy.

I'm Lame

Just letting you know that I'm sorry about the lack of posts lately. I have been pretty frustrated with Blogger, and how hard it's been to upload pictures/videos the last few times I've tried. So I'll be a little more diligent about trying to get them up there! :) 'I think I can, I think I can...'

Brotherly Love

Here's Jack making a call to Grandma.

They had a good talk.

Ok Mama I'm here, what do you want us to do?

When left to create his own pose, this is what he came up with. Our very own Charlie Bit Me moment.

Better Mom? No? Hmmm....

Ok, this one's good, it HAS to be! No?!

Here we go, no strangling or finger biting! Woohoo boys, you did it!

I just got the book 'Bringing Up Boys' by James Dobson from Goodwill yesterday and I read this quote in it that made me laugh, solely because I couldn't agree more....

"Of all the anmials, the boy is the most unmanageable" -Plato

Haha...I love having boys. It's surely quite an adventure.

Puddles

We have been working in the back yard to put in a little patio but it has been unfinished for a couple weeks now due to lack of time and good weather, but Toby has loved having his very own huge sandbox/water box. This is a little example of the water box (since it had rained about 4 days in a row and had at least 3 inches of water!) Please excuse the loud mouth in the video (me) and the poor quality. I just thought it was too cute to keep to myself :)
