The Mullet

The other day, Jamie and I were talking about our boys and how different they are. And how we wouldn't change their little personalities because it's just the perfect mix. This is what was said next:

Jamie: "You see, they are just like a mullet..."

Me: totally confused yet intrigued

Jamie:"...it's the best of both worlds. Jack is the business in the front, Toby is the party in the back! The perfect combo."

The Business (The sweet, calm, content one)
The Party (The wild, fun, and crazy one)

16 Pounder

We've been having lots of sickness in our house lately, Toby was at the doctor two weeks ago with a cold and ear infection, and last week was Jacks turn with a cold (thanks to Toby :) and a eye infection. Oh joy. But one neat thing about taking Jack in was that we got to have him weighed. And he's a hefty 'little' guy, at 16 pounds. He's pretty much a beast, at only 3 months he's wearing 9-12 month clothes. And we LOVE it! There's so much to cuddle, tickle and kiss.

Tobys Favorite Things

(This is his favorite person)

As of today his favorite things are:

Color: Red

Story: Hey Diddle, Diddle (he calls it Diddle, and always points at the picture of the cow jumping over the moon, and gets a really concerned look on his face as he points to the cows udders and says 'Uh-Oh!', we have no clue what he's thinking! haha)

Bible Story: 'Uh-Oh Joe' also known as Joseph and when his brothers threw him into the pit.

Food: Mac n' cheese, candy, cookies, sprinkles, chicken nuggets and dip, Larry (from the Veggitales, also known as a cucumber) and dip, yogurt, doughnuts, etc....yeah, sadly he inherited my sweet tooth.

Cartoon: Bob and Larry (Veggitales) and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

Toy: His new Sesame Street Storybook, he plays it ALL the time! (this is how he learned about 'Diddle')

Activity: Wrestling with Dada, counting his goldfish, building a cool Choo Choo track and making them crash (and proceeds to say, each time, 'Did you see that?!') Helping Mama in the kitchen on his 'helper stool', going on a wagon ride with Grandad and Grandma.

Places to go: His Grandparents houses, the 'candy store' (it's a little quick stop place down the hill from us that him and Jamie go on walks to), the park, and Safeway (so he can get a cookie).

The Latest Post Ever...

Sooo.....I'll admit that I totally forgot to post some pictures from Christmas, thanks for the reminder Aunt Peggy! So, without further ado, here they are...
In the Wright family tradition, the 'socks' come first, or as I know them, the stockings.
Jack, enjoying his stocking.

Then a lovely and delicious breakfast to fill up on.

Then present time! Toby and Jack got this awesome two person wagon from Grandma and Grandad.

Michael, I think you were more excited than Toby was, at least by the looks of this picture. haha

Jack enjoying himself with Great Grandpa.

Toby 'hugging' Jack in their matching jammies.
(Jacks were a size 12 months, and he was only 2 months...wow, I've got a big boy.)

And then comes the posing with your presents time. Here's the Wright brothers in their matching Duck shirts.
Thanks SO much for an amazing Christmas guys! We love you all!

Haircut

Toby got a big boy haircut. It was starting to look way too much like a mullet for me, so it had to go. And it turns out that I cut off most of the blonde :( Now it's a dirty blonde and it all feels like adult hair, not the super soft and light baby hair. My little boy's growing up....sniff, sniff.

Smiling

Jacks new favorite pastime, other than eating and sleeping is smiling and cooing. It's seriously the sweetest thing. Ahhh...he has stolen my heart.
