Shot Please...

I just had to share this story because it's one of the cutest things ever...

We had Jack's two week check-up today (he's doing great by the way). We were all there and it was taking quite a while, Toby was getting fussy and kept saying 'go, go' and pointing to the door. Finally it was his turn to sit up on the doctors table to get some attention...only he didn't know that he was there to get a flu shot. He didn't have a clue what a shot is, but he wanted one. The nurse walked in and asked if he wanted a sticker (maybe to warm him up before the big poke) he said 'yaAAAhh!' and then Jamie asks him, 'Toby, do you want a shot?' Toby then says 'yaAAAHHH! SHOT!' He then looks at the nurse and says 'Shot, peez!' very enthusiastically (while making the please ASL sign for please)

We are horrible parents by the way...lol.

Then she gives him the shot (while we are all laughing). He just looks at the nurse with a ouch look and then says in his own way 'thank you' that sounds more like 'do do'. And continues to chant the word 'SHOT' while being very proud that he got a shot.

I love that kid. He asks for a shot with a please, and thanks the nurse for the pain right afterwards. Too sweet :)

Brothers

Toby's having a great time, I'm not too sure about Jack...
But it's nothing a kiss couldn't solve.

He really thinks Jack's chair is the coolest thing, I'm pretty sure he's gonna break it...

Jamie's pretty confident of it's quality though, so he decides to place our sweet little newborn baby on it too, I cringed, and then took a picture because it was too cute.

My Whole World

This melts my heart more than anything,
even more than puppies, and I love puppies.

Oh, Hi baby Jack, I didn't see you there!

Grandma and Grandad

Grandma, Grandad , Aunt Ellen and Uncle Michael came up for the day today to meet Jack and play with Toby. Grandma with her two little guys.
Lovin' life

Brothers

Since we have been home, Toby hasn't been very interested in Jack. He wasn't jealous, just indifferent, probably thinking that he would soon leave. But yesterday I think he realized that he was here to stay, and he's been warming up more and more. Being a good helper and washing baby Jacks binkie for him.
While Jack was sitting in his bouncy seat, Toby went up to him and wrapped his arms around his little tummy and tried lifting him up to hold him. So we put them on the couch together. It was SO sweet. Toby kept patting him and rubbing his soft head.

Here he is putting the binkie in, even when Jack doesn't want it. Good thing he's a good sport. Yesterday when Toby woke up from his nap, he came running out of his room shouting "Baby?!" and looking all over for him. I love it, it's going to be so much fun when he's a little older and they can interact a little more.
Kisses:)

Grammy and Grandpa

I love this. The only way we could get Toby to smile was having Jamie bribe him with a gummi worm, little stinker.

Trying to balance life with two grand babies, and loving it :)

Jack

This is what he's best at, sleeping and being cute.

Ahhh...Cuddling.

One bonus for being holed up here in our room is having as much cuddle time as we want. We're loving it :)

We love these eyes.

One of Jamie's favorite things ever. He has been missing this stage so much since Toby has gotten so big and rarely cuddles.

So Sweet

Here are a couple more pictures, I figured I at least owed you that much since we're not allowed any visitors (due to that stinkin' swine flu). It's been pretty hard/weird for us to not have anyone stopping by. The time is going by REALLY slowly! I can't wait to go home and see my other little dude, and let the boys meet (since Toby isn't even allowed here). We have been talking with him on Skype and showing him baby Jack (or 'baby gack' as he calls him). Jamie has been able to go home a let Toby keep some normalcy in his life by getting him ready for bed last night and hanging out at home for a couple hours today while me and Hanna hang here with Jack. We are all doing really well though, I'm feeling great and Jack is just the 'perfect' baby. We are so excited for you all to meet him soon!! This has pretty much been Jack since he's been born,
sleeping and being awake happy. He is such a content little guy.
I'm hoping that's how he'll stay too :) He is such a blessing to us already.
I don't think you can tell from any of the pictures,
but his eyes are a really pretty slate gray blue.
And he has Toby's little dimple chin, although not as prominent as Toby's was.
Here he's not too happy about his first bath (well, sponge bath)

I'm In Love...Again

Just a few from right after he was born. Still nice and dirty :)
I think this one looks SO much like Toby.

Seriously, could God bless us any more? Wow.

JACK IS HERE!!

Jack Wallace Wright was born at 4:30 AM on October 12th, 2009. He is 7 lbs 8 oz and 19.5 inches. Karly and the baby are both healthy and doing well. As soon as possible, pictures will be posted with more information. Continue praying for both of them!

Still in labor...

For those of you night owls who are still awake out there, Karly is still in labor. Jack is taking his sweet time. The nurse just started her on Pitocin to get the process moving a little quicker. We all took a short nap and are now awake, patiently awaiting the arrive of Toby's little brother. We will keep you updated, since no one is allowed to visit during Karly and Jack's time in the hospital because of the swine flu. So keep checking...we will keep posting. More pictures to come soon!

It's Time!!!!

Karly sitting on the ball...trying to get the process going.
And Jamie...

Karly is finally at the hospital, getting ready to have sweet baby Jack. The next few updates will come from me, Hanna Swanson, Karly's little sister. We hope to update you with all the big events that happen and keep the pictures coming. She just received the epidural and is well on her way. Please be praying for her and baby Jack.
