Nastiness.

You know things have gone from bad to worse when you have throw up in your hair and won't wash it out because you know there will be more coming in a matter of minutes. Yup, things are pretty nasty here right now. Jack has Gastroenteritis. Or at least that's what the Ask-A-Nurse lady said from the pediatrics office. Other church mommies have been asking me the last few weeks how the boys are doing and if they have gotten 'The Sickness' that apparently has been going around. I have been amazed that we haven't had any sickies around here for what seems like a looong time. It's probably only been about 3 weeks, but that's a record for our house. But it caught up to us, in a big way. The poor little guy would barely eat anything yesterday, but he sure seemed like he had a LOT because from 12:30-2:30 last night he emptied the contents of his tummy out on me, his bed, the boys' rug, me and Jamie's rug, the hallway rug, me and Jamie's door, etc...the list goes on, and on, and on. Thankfully I have the greatest husband ever. He just got up, without complaint, and scrubbed the nastiness away while I scrubbed it off of the poor sleepy baby and myself. The nurse said he was highly contagious in the first 12-24 hours...hence the pack n' play in the living room. We just have been vegging out, watching some Caillou and reading books. It's been an all around nasty day around here with this news on top of everything else.
