Shot Please...

I just had to share this story because it's one of the cutest things ever...

We had Jack's two week check-up today (he's doing great by the way). We were all there and it was taking quite a while, Toby was getting fussy and kept saying 'go, go' and pointing to the door. Finally it was his turn to sit up on the doctors table to get some attention...only he didn't know that he was there to get a flu shot. He didn't have a clue what a shot is, but he wanted one. The nurse walked in and asked if he wanted a sticker (maybe to warm him up before the big poke) he said 'yaAAAhh!' and then Jamie asks him, 'Toby, do you want a shot?' Toby then says 'yaAAAHHH! SHOT!' He then looks at the nurse and says 'Shot, peez!' very enthusiastically (while making the please ASL sign for please)

We are horrible parents by the way...lol.

Then she gives him the shot (while we are all laughing). He just looks at the nurse with a ouch look and then says in his own way 'thank you' that sounds more like 'do do'. And continues to chant the word 'SHOT' while being very proud that he got a shot.

I love that kid. He asks for a shot with a please, and thanks the nurse for the pain right afterwards. Too sweet :)

Jealous!
Maybe we could borrow Toby next time Brett goes in for a booster shot...to BOOST morale. :)

this story is toooo funny, you gotta save this somewhere for Toby to read when he gets bigger, it sounds like he's braver than his dad when it comes to shots!!:)

Oh my goodness, Toby is hilarious! Awesome story; thanks so much for sharing! What a tough little man. He's already showing Jack what a big boy can do. :-)
