The Boys

Since moving I have noticed that I haven't been picking up my camera nearly as often as I used to, so I've been purposing to take more pictures of these sweet boys and this fun season in life. They are SO much fun now. Jack wants to be Toby, he will do anything Toby does, whether that be eating strange vegetables that Toby eats or disobeying the rules, he wants to be just like him. When asked how old he is this is what he'll say "I'm four and Toby four." The other day after one of us corrected him that he is actually two he got the saddest little pout and starting crying "'I'm foooour, no two." I adore being a mommy to two little boys, the adventures never stop.

Last week we visited the boy's awesome dentist and I asked him why Jack still drools so much. It sounds like it all boils down to his thumb sucking. Since he sucks his thumb so much his teeth have moved out a little (they look like Mater teeth) so there is more room in there to let the drool fall out. Kids also produce more saliva than adults and generally swallow a lot less than adults. And every time he puts his thumb in his mouth, or any other foreign object, his mouth produces more saliva, so its a continual process for him. Thumb in, make more spit, out it goes. He said that once he does stop sucking then his teeth will most likely move back into place and the drooling will get better.
